NARS Larger Than Life Lipgloss in Como

Hiyo!

This is just a quick post, I have quite a few things to review but haven't had the time as of late. I promised myself i would not let more than two weeks pass without posting and im in my third week now  >.< *slaps self on hand*

Well think of this as a filler post for the meantime until this weekend when i can do a meatier post as i have lots of goodies to talk about.

Lets get to it then:

NARS larger than life - Como

We have to talk about this brush -___-

The brush is made of small stiff plastic feeling bristles and is not soft against the lips. I am quite disappointed in it because i have quite a few NARS glosses and they all have that soft velvety feeling applicator. I do not know why they chose to use these stiff bristles in this product but I don't like it at all.

It is a very soft and subtle pink color, great for summer. And although you can see gold flecks in the swatches they are not that visible in real life. Added bonus, you do not feel them at all. I hate glosses that have the little flecks you can feel (and see) on your skin especially as the gloss fades but this gloss has neither negative aspect.

Pretty much the only negative thing i can say about this gloss is the applicator is stiff and not very pleasant. Other than that I love it.

Swatch: Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Deep Rose

Hi Guys!

This is a quick post on a blush i picked up a few months ago from CVS for $6.59. I generally do not buy Maybelline products (don't ask me why, they just don't appeal to me) but i saw this color and thought it looked really pretty.

Here's a close up of the brush that comes with the blush:Maybelline fit me brush

And finally the blush on skin:

I have to tell you, i had to swipe my finger across the pan a few times to get it to show this much against my skin. Here is what my finger looked like after running it across the pan 4-5 times before applying on skin:

So basically if you like a subtle matte rose blush that gives your skin a slight hint of color this blush is perfect. It gives the skin a natural look flush, and even if your heavy handed you can't go overboard with it.

MAC Cremesheen Lipglass in Narcissus and Pro Longwear lipcreme in Red Dwarf Swatches

Hellooo!

I haven't paid as much attention to MAC collections as i used to simply because it seems like there is a collection launched every other week and my wallet couldn't handle it lol. Also alot of the products seemed repetitous and only the packaging was new (my opinion, i may be wrong).

These two babies caught my eye however and i decided i had to have them. Without further ado let's start with Narcissus:

All the above pictures are taken in daylight with no flash. I love this color, its a pink/purpleish opaque color that definitely caters to my girly side.

Up next, Red Dwarf which is a "Pro longwear lip creme". I have recently been on a quest to find a red lipstick that i can fall head over heels over. Red Dwarf is not that lipstick, but it is a good start.

Definitely two great shades that i am going to be rocking on a regular basis.

Review: Lancome Mousse Radiance Clarifying Self-Foaming Cleanser

Hello!

So i wanted to give a quick review of Lancome's Mousse Radiance clarifying Self Foaming Cleanser.

Lancome Mousse Radiance Clarifying Self-Foaming Cleanser

Previous to this i was using a Neutrogena cleanser (the blue one i cant remember the name) and while it was good, i felt like it wasn't getting my skin clean enough. I don't want my skin squeaky clean but i like that fresh "ah" feeling if you know what i mean. Just so you know, my skin type is combination: oily T zone, sensitive patches (hello eczema), and oily/normal/dry cheeks depending the season so any cleanser i buy has to accomodate all of these issues and not cause any additional problems. I am happy to say this this cleanser handled all of my skin issues and left my skin feeling clean, not irritated at all and normal all around.

I use one full pump at night:

It comes out all nice and foamed up. In the morning i use half a pump since my face is not really dirty (if you have a small face unlike mine then you can probably get away with half a pump).

Here's my face covered in cleanser:

(note: the cleanser dried alittle while taking pics so i had to add more to my face, its not normally this foamy)

And here's my freshly cleansed face:

Hah that pose it so cheesy.

I have been using this cleanser for roughly 5-6 months now, and i can say that it has never left my face feeling dry, tight, scummy (like the soap hasnt completely washed off), or itchy. It is a little pricey @ $32 for 6.8fl oz, but if i can spend $38 on an eyeshadow palette (hello NARS) then i think it is silly to squirm at spending just as much on skin maintenance. At least thats how i justify it to myself :p

I definitely will be buying this again once this one has finished.

And in case anyone cares, i am wearing China Glaze-  Blue Sparrow (neon) on my nails.

Thanks for reading :)

NARS Arabian Nights trio eyeshadow palette and swatches

Hello!

First of all, i have to say I had a hard time taking these pictures. For the life of me i could not capture the true colors of the shadows so you'l have to take my word for it when i say that even though they look one color in the ic they are actually different in real life.

Without further ado:

NARS Arabian Nights three shadow palette Description Left to Right: Black with red shimmer / Black with purple shimmer / Black with gunmetal shimmer

The middle one looks more blue in the picture than purple no? no IRL it is purple with slight blue undertone.

Swatches on skin:

Again like i said above, i could not really capture the true colors but you can see that the eyeshadows is black with either a red, purple or gunmetal shimmer to it. And for anyone who does not like shimmer do not worry, it is not overwhelming amount more like a sprinkling of shimmer.

I see myself using these for a smokey eyed look  or to add a little color to a smokey eye. What do you guys think?

NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencils

Hello!

So i just purchased two of Nars soft touch shadow pencils despite the not so great review on Temptalia on the same two shades in 2010 (see here ). I am the type of person that if i really love something i have to at least try it myself and not just go by someone else's opinion.

Here is what the pencil looks like:

Nars Soft Touch Shadow Pencil

And a swatch on my hand:

Nars, soft touch shadow pencil, Palladium, Aigle Noir

Both colors glide on easily on my skin. There is a little glitter (silver in Palladium, gold in Aigle Noir) but it is not overwhelming. I can tell you Palladium smudges much easier then Aigle Noir, i would not suggest wearing these without a base underneath, and defintely not as an all day color. I have greasy eyelids and I can see both colors wearing off after a couple of hours.

These pencils retail for $24 each.
